
Q-Tip Says He Will Be Producing Esperanza Spalding's Upcoming Album

A Tribe Called Quest's front-man will be behind the boards for the Jazz bassist and vocalist's upcoming LP.
Although recognized often for his emcee abilities, Queens, New York's Q-Tip is an accomplished producer for Mobb Deep, Nas and his years with A Tribe Called Quest. Today the Universal Motown artist announced that he will produce Jazz bassist and vocalist Esperanza Spalding's next album.
Spalding, a Portland, Oregon native, has released three solo albums, as well as work with Jazz veteran, Stanley Clarke and popular Folk artist, M. Ward.

Previously, Q-Tip has worked with another Jazz vocalist, Norah Jones, on his 2008 solo album, The Renaissance.
