During a recent appearance on the late night talk show, “Chelsea Lately,” actress Lucy Liu confirmed her appearance alongside Jay Electronica on the recently released single, “Close Your Eyes.” Liu, who reads from a spoken-word script during the nearly four-minute song, revealed that her role is part of a larger project. The video, which doesn’t feature Liu or Jay Electronica, is a re-creation Salvador Dali and Luis Bunuel’s film Un Chien Andalou.

“I did something with this genius; his name is Jeymes Samuel,” Liu told Chelsea Handler. “He wrote this [project] about a woman on death row, and she is being interviewed before she gets killed. He basically took the different interview parts and mixed it in with Jay Electronica…I’m on the entire album.”
