50 Cent And Akon To Be Featured On Michael Jackson's "Michael" Album

The December 10 release, while controversial, furthers Jackson's connection to '00s-era artists.

Planned for release on December 10, Michael Jackson's posthumous Michael album has stirred controversy between artists and fans debating whether the Epic Records project properly honors the King of Pop. While the album's release appears imminent, it has now been announced that the project will feature both 50 Cent and Akon.

This will be 50 Cent's first appearance with Michael Jackson, as heard on the song "Monster." Previously, the Gary, Indiana Pop/R&B superstar had worked with Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z and Teddy Riley.

Akon had previously worked with Jackson in 2007's "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" update for Thriller's 25th Anniversary release. "Hold My Hand," the opening song to Michael, has been released as a single.
