The Internet has been buzzing with speculation  the past few days as to whether Nicki Minaj actually took shots at Lil’ Kim on her latest single with Eminem “Roman’s Revenge.” With lyrics like, “Word, that bitch mad ’cause I took the spot?/Well, bitch, if you ain’t shitting, then get off the pot/Got some niggas out in Brooklyn that’ll off your top,” it’s hard not to tell why many assumed that the song was Nicki’s big payback at he Queen Bee. Now, however, the Young Money superstar put these rumors to bed, saying that the song was not directed at Lil’ Kim, but rather the entire industry who has gossiped about her and debated her merit.

“I’m talking about everyone who has been in interviews talking and I think it’s good for people to hear me respond to a lot, people have said so much about me so I don’t ever single anyone out because no one is worth being singled out,” she told DJ Khaled on his 99 Jamz radio show. “No one is worth having their name mentioned out of my mouth and they never will get that. But you know, I’ve been quiet for such a long time, I’ve been the nice guy, I’ve been the person that gave everybody their props. I complemented everybody from day one and I think that as a rapper, you can’t be a rapper and not speak on things being said about you. So, I use my music to say what I have to say.”

As DX reported back in June, Lil’ Kim verbally attacked Minaj at show in Baltimore with Ray J, accusing her of not paying homage and even chiding Diddy for signing on as Nicki’s manager. The Queen Bee also talked about Nicki in an interview with Kendra G earlier this year, saying that “…if you’re gonna swagger jack somebody and take their style, at least pay the respect and the homage.”
