Fans who may be counting down the days until Lil Wayne’s release from jail are in for some bittersweet news. While his release is still scheduled for next month, his highly publicized Welcome Home Concert could potentially see cancellation. According to Cash Money rapper and exec Baby, Weezy may spend time with his family instead of putting on the show.

“We still haven’t really made up our mind,” Baby told MTV News. “I think what’s important, we want to see family first. If the concert happens, it happens. But right now, we just want to come home and see our family and party, I think.”

Rather than putting on the post-jail concert, Birdman said a party in Weezy’s honor might be a more viable option. “That’s what we gonna do: just come to Miami and just party for a minute. Work and party and play. Have the whole team out here, and we gonna do it up. Miami is gonna be Weezy world, Weezy weekend.”
