Boston, Massachussetts emcee Slaine had been planning to release his first nationally-distributed solo album, A World With No Skies on October 23. After the La Coka Nostra/Special Teamz member recently appeared in Ben Affleck’s block-bluster film, The Town, his musical plans have changed.

Yesterday, on Facebook and Twitter, Slaine explained that due to his increased profile, his Suburban Noize album would need some changes before release, most notably sample clearances. “I am in the [studio] right now recording a free mixtape that will be out the same fuckin day. Fuck the industry. and the album will be out as soon as I can get it out Sorry,” wrote Slaine. The mixtape is planned for October 26, and will be called The Devil Never Dies.

A World With No Skies was planned to feature Ill Bill, Everlast and Vinnie Paz, among others.
