A new Tupac Shakur documentary is set to be released next year, according to reports.

Yesterday (September 13) marked the 14th anniversary of the west coast rapper’s death, and it was in memory of the occasion that the announcement was made.

Uncensored and Uncut: The Lost Prison Tapes is due to hit stores on Tuesday, January 26, 2011 (Monday, January 25, 2011). The documentary features a never-before-seen interview with Tupac from inside the Clinton Correctional Facility, where the rapper was incarcerated in 1995.

The interview reportedly covers his relationship with his mother, the infamous 1994 Quad Recording Studio shooting that nearly left him dead, and his goal to be an uplifting influence on the black community.

Preorder information is available on Amazon.com. (September 14)

UPDATE: On January 25, one of those interviews is available uncensored, in full on DVD. The New Video Group will release the Ken Peters-directed, 44-minute Tupac: Uncensored & Uncut.
