Exclusive Details Emerge On Young Buck's "The Rehab" Album

Exclusive: The September 7th Real Talk Entertainment album is billed as "Young Buck's third," and features 50 Cent diss "Hood Documentary," with a DX video.

Last month, HipHopDX announced that Young Buck had an upcoming release reportedly called The Rehab. Initially planned for August release, The Rehab had limited details. Now with a firm release date of September 7, and reported distribution including reduced prices at Best Buy and Wal-Mart, The Rehab's back-story is breaking.

Real Talk Entertainment, who released charting street albums last year from Sheek Louch (Life On D-Block) and Freeway (Philadelphia Freeway 2), will drop what they're referring to as "the third album" from the "former G-Unit" emcee from Nashville, Tennessee. Previously, Young Buck released 2004's Straight Outta Cashville and 2006's Buck The World on G-Unit/Interscope Records. In the time after 2006, the rapper had a very public financial dispute with 50 Cent and his former G-Unit bandmates that led to his removal from the Interscope Records group.

Among the 14 tracks on The Rehab is "Hood Documentary" , a diss towards Buck's former mentor and group-mate 50 Cent. The album is produced by Vince V., Cozmo, and Bizzy Bone, Bad Azz and X-Raided producer Big Hollis.

Real Talk's CEO Derrick “Sac” Johnson said in a statement, “We are very excited about working with Young Buck on this project. This project has been in the works for years, before 50 Cent and G-Unit. Young Buck is an international superstar and we are extremely proud to be releasing his third studio album, The Rehab.” (August 27)

UPDATE: Spokespeople for Young Buck contacted HipHopDX and said that this is a "street album, and not to be considered the rapper's third album."
