The Black Eyed Peas have yet again made digital music history. According to Nielsen SoundScan, with six million downloads the Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” is the best-selling song in digital history.
The song, which is featured on the Black Eyed Peas’ most recent album The E.N.D., remained on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for an impressive 14 weeks last year.
Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am spoke briefly to the Associated Press in regards to the groups latest milestone.

“We came out in ’98 and our career, if you would look at it on chart, there’s no dips in it,” will.i.am explained. “For our career to still be healthy and vibrant and doing things like 6 million downloads, it’s pretty significant.”
During a performance last week on Good Morning America the Black Eyed Peas revealed that they’re finishing up their next album. The album will be titled The Beginning and it’s scheduled to be released before the year is up.
“It symbolizes growth, new beginnings and starts, fresh new perspective,” said will.i.am on GMA, referring to the new album.
