Naughty by Nature is back and are prepping for the June 29 release of an EP that will give fans a glimpse into Anthem Inc., their first studio album featuring all three members in over a decade. The EP features the clean, dirty and Spanglish versions of their Pitbull-assisted song “Get to Know Me Better,” in addition to the clean and dirty versions of “I Gotta Lotta.” The video for the latter track was recently released online.

The release of their EP also marks a renewed distribution partnership between the NJ trio’s own label Illtown Records and Tommy Boy Entertainment. Naughty first signed with Tommy in 1991 and released three albums with the label, including 1995’s Grammy award winning Poverty’s Paradise.

“The idea of Naughty by Nature coming back to Tommy Boy is not exciting just because they broke here, but [also] because they are one of the few classic hip hop artists that have remained vibrant and relevant over the years and on stage,” said Tommy Boy founder and CEO Tom Silverman. “They are absolute rock stars.”

Naughty’s own Kay Gee added, “When we started in 1991, Tom Silverman and Tommy Boy were a great fit to lead us through the indie industry. Now in 2010, with the ever-changing record industry, Tom is one of the leaders shaping new technology and is at the forefront of today’s new music business model. It only makes sense for us to reunite for this EP. Besides, nobody knows our brand better than Tommy Boy! They helped us build it.”
