DX News Bits: KRS-One, Rick Ross, Opio, Unjust

KRS-One to form Supreme Council, Rick Ross speaks on Diddy, and Opio and Unjust to release new project inspired by The Big Lebowski.

Iconic rapper KRS-One has revealed that he’s hoping to create a Supreme Council during an event that will take place later today (April 20) in New York City.

The event, which is hosted by both the Temple of Hip Hop and the Universal Zulu Nation, will be held at New York City’s S.O.B.’s tonight. Attendee's can also expect a discussion on the current state of Hip Hop.

"Pioneers will come to the April 20th meeting at S.O.B.’s, to form a consensus and build a framework of a governing body," said KRS-One, according to AllHipHop.com.

This latest announcement from KRS-One shortly follows a speech he made earlier this month in which he spoke out against the launch of the National Museum of Hip Hop.

In other Hip Hop news, Miami rapper Rick Ross has confirmed that he will be working with Hip Hop entrepreneur Diddy in the near future although he did not state if Diddy will in fact serve as his manager.

“Shout-out to the big homie, Diddy. We gonna make a big announcement soon,” Rick Ross explained in an interview with DJ Envy. “We got a lot of plans laid out for this year. You know what I mean? It's all love."

Just a few days ago rumor’s of Diddy managing both Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj began to spread after a source revealed to Billboard.com that Diddy will co-manage both artists.

Hieroglyphics’ Opio and Chosen Few ’s Unjust recently took their love of a particular cult classic to a new level with their latest project.

The duo teamed up for, Mark It Zero, a tribute album inspired by the movie The Big Lebowski.

The beats for Mark It Zero uses samples from the movie’s score while the lyrical content is led by the duo’s own adventures.
