Broadcast Music Incorporated is looking to increase royalties for its songwriters, music publishers, and composers. The organization is one of three American performing rights groups, and collects millions in licensing fees for its songwriters.

Recently the organization, which made $905 million in licensing fees last year, has pushed to collect fees from smaller concerts where its licensed music has been performed. According to Variety, BMI pays royalties based on the top 200 tours, but the organization has announced that now, it will keep track of the top 300 tours. Songwriters, composers, and publishers receive royalties whenever their song is performed in a public venue. Licensing fees depend on how big the venue is.

BMI says it looks to double the number of content that sees royalties.
