As of 9:00 a.m. EST Friday morning, the highly anticipated Dr. Dre and Jay-Z collaboration “Under Pressure” was nowhere to be found on the Aftermath Records website. But the site did feature a blog entry from Ice Cube addressing what many thought were veiled disses at his former N.W.A. partner Dr. Dre.

During a live performance of “Drink The Kool-Aid,” Cube rhymed the following, “I ain’t the doctor / This ain’t the patient / This ain’t that nigga always on vacation / This ain’t no white boy’s rehabilitation…” Blogs, other sites and social networking outlets questioned if Ice Cube was taking shots at Dre and Eminem, and Cube responded with the following via AftermathMusic.com.

“[Dr. Dre] asked me did I diss him during the Paid Dues Show last Saturday. I did one of my new songs called ‘Drink The Kool-Aid’ which got everybody thinking I’m dissing the whole industry…lol ‘You internet roaches…’ I told Dre that I’d never diss the man that got me started.”

Ice Cube also he says Snoop Dogg was present, and it’s very possible that both he and Snoop could be featured on Detox in some capacity.

“He played me some tracks set for the up and coming Detox record and we talked about me jumping on board the project,” Cube adds. “Of course I talked about him doing shit on my record and he said he’d bless the album.”

Ice Cube’s full blog entry is available at IceCube.com and AftermathMusic.com.
