Although Lil Wayne is already serving time behind bars in New York, his legal troubles are far from over.
TMZ.com reports that a Yuma County, AZ court has issued a bench warrant for the rapper’s arrest for missing his court date – regardless of his status as an inmate in NY.
Meanwhile, it appears things may just be looking up for DMX, who was just sentenced to six months in jail for violating his probation.
X admitted to five probation violations – specifically, use of illegal drugs. However, a Pasadena Recovery Center representative gave the judge a letter from radio and TV personality Dr. Drew Pinsky, asking permission to treat the former superstar at his facility in lieu of jail time. The judge reportedly seemed to be open to the idea.
Can X ever be a star after recovery? It’s a tough road traveled — just look at what Eminem is going through right now. Personally, I think Eminem’s lost his touch with what made his music so special in the first place. Or was it the drugs after all?
Eminem was angry, much like DMX is. Out of recovery, most people treated resolve their anger issues and choose a lifestyle more humbling. I can’t imagine X spitting with the same kind of fire with his own sober soul.
Only time will tell. But, if we’re talking about seeing people genuinely happy with themselves and free of the imprisonment from drug abuse… then, I would rather see X take the step and find peace in himself.

I can’t agree with you about Eminem, His verse on Forever had good flow, but to me it lacked any charisma. He spit the same old typical shit you hear from any regular emcee; boasting about being the best and what he could do to another rapper.
That’s not what made Eminem great on The Marshall Mathers LP or The Eminem Show. It’s his off-the-wall lyricism mixed, insane flow and witty character that made him the best. I’m talking about the jokester-style Eminem — the one before the angry drug addict that wants all stereos to feel his temper.
Looks like Wayne is going to be a lot of time in the coming years. Gonna be interesting to see how it plays out. Just like X, can’t escape it and it snowballs like a mother fucker!
