Producer Danger Mouse’s Dark Night Of The Soul album will finally be released now that legal issues with record label EMI have been cleared up.

“We can confirm that EMI are working with Brian Burton AKA Danger Mouse again, and are delighted to be doing so,” an EMI spokesman told the BBC. “Further information on releases will follow shortly.”

Dark Night Of The Soul will feature appearances from Sparklehorse, Iggy Pop, The Flaming Lips and film director David Lynch. There is still no specific release date for the album.

In other Hip Hop news, Hip Hop/soul band Soul Mafia have just announced an April 22 release date for their latest project, MK Ultra. The band already has one single under their belt and they will also be releasing a video for their “All I Need” remix featuring rapper Joe Budden.

“As our fanbase has grown, so has our sound,” said Soul Mafia’s Prism. “It has allowed us to experiment with a wider arrange of instruments, larger mixes and larger performance venues as well. Outside of the internet, we connect the best with our fans at live shows.”

Aside from releasing their upcoming album, Soul Mafia will also soon embark on a summer tour. Dates for Soul Mafia’s summer “Wasted Tour” will be released in the near future.
