Lawsuit Filed Over Use Of Notorious B.I.G.'s Home Videos
TMZ.com reports Kashui Entertainment has filed a lawsuit against the Estate of Christopher Wallace, Faith Evans and others, claiming a breach of contract and promissory fraud. The company wanted to create a documentary about the life of Christopher "The Notorious B.I.G." Wallace. In their plan, they were hoping to incorporate home videos, which they say they received permission to use. Court documents show the suit was filed February 23 in California's Central District Court.According to the lawsuit, Kaushi and Dro-Entertainment claim they signed an agreement in February 2007 to purchase archival footage of Wallace, from RocDarling Films, the production company run by Wallace's friend Damion "D-Roc" Butler. They say they paid the money but never got the home videos. As a result, Kaushi is asking for $1,000,000.
