Jay Electronica’s mystery may be his magic. The New Orleans-born lyricist has made a lot of noise through very limited output, most notably his “Exhibit” series with booming Just Blaze production. While his Decon Records (as of now) debut remains on hold per his own request, Jay spoke to The Brooklyn Bodega last week in a rare interview.

Asked about a recent OkayPlayer.com message board thread comparing him to fellow emcee Lupe Fiasco, Jay Electronica revealed a potential upcoming collaboration. “We going to be on a track together in the immediate future. That’s my brother. He reached out. I got bad phone etiquette so it took me a minute to reach back. But we gonna reach, we gonna talk. We’ve been in communication and we’re going to work,” said Electronica.
