Lil Wayne Released Following Texas Arrest
Rapper Lil Wayne has been released from jail following an arrest that took place over the weekend on the Texas border. The Phoenix New Times reports that Lil Wayne and his entourage were released a day after their arrest in Falfurrias, Texas.
Lil Wayne’s tour bus was stopped at a Falfurrias checkpoint and upon searching the tour bus officials found an undisclosed amount of marijuana.
Wayne and over 10 other people on the bus were immediately arrested. No charges were made and they were later released.
Ironically, this weekends arrest comes only days after it was announced that Lil Wayne will serve a one-year sentence in a New York jail beginning February 9, 2010. A sentence that stems from a weapons possession charge that Wayne received in October 2009.
Neither Lil Wayne or a representative for the rapper have commented on this latest incident.

Man this world is so messed up. That's why some days I just feel like dying. Not because of depression(because I'm super happy with my life), but because of people that put dumb comments on the internet like I hope he get butt raped and killed and people calling each other dumb asses cause they expressing the way how they feel. Is all this hate is really necessary...like for real...I'm going to really enjoy the day when God is going to take me away from this horrible world and bring me to a peaceful. While weed may be enjoyable, the plant itself is illegal and the line that Wayne crossed was real. Is he a target, perhaps, but he has proven time and again that he doesnt respect the law.....that, or he thinks he is too big for it. I have no sympathy for his dumb ass. He just got sentenced to a year, and continues to do DUMB SHIT.
