Hip Hop legend LL Cool J was not one of the artists selected for entry into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, it was announced recently.

Because LL’s career began in 1984, this was the first year he was available to make the cut. He was joined by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kiss, Donna Summer and Laura Nyro as other acts who failed to make the cut as well.

Instead, The Stooges, ABBA and Genesis will be honored with entry into the Hall, which features only two Hip Hop acts: Grangmaster Flash and the Furious 5, and Run D.M.C. The latter was inducted last year.
