Sade Releases Single, Drake Pushes For Collaboration
Soulful singer Sade has just released the first single off of her highly-anticipated album Soldier Of Love. The song, which is also titled “Soldier Of Love,” made its way onto the internet yesterday (December 7).
Soldier Of Love will be Sade’s first studio album in almost a decade. Lovers Rock, her most recent album, was released in 2000.
In related news, although singer/rapper Drake has managed to secure a number of noteworthy artists for his debut album Thank Me Later he’s hoping Sade will be willing to lend her talents for a collaboration that will appear on his album.
"I had a wish list for my managers of everybody I wanted involved (in the album) that stem beyond hip-hop,” Drake told MTV. "I'm trying to pull it all together. I'm really trying to work with Sade."
Drake revealed to another source that talks have been made regarding the possible collaboration.
Solider Of Love will be released worldwide on February 8 while Drake’s Thank Me Later has been pushed back and may not see a release until March 2010.
