Young Jeezy And Gucci Mane End Feud, Talk Collaboration

Thursday, Young Jeezy and Gucci Mane ended their nearly five-year-long beef which originally stemmed from a conflict over the song "Icy." The collaborators-turned-rivals were brought together on a call with DJ Drama on air at Atlanta's Power 104, with Gucci calling in from prison. Since the "Icy" conflict, Jeezy and Drama had a separate falling out in regards to Drama allegedly charging a member of Jeezy's Corporate Thugz Entertainment $20,000 for a mixtape. The beef reportedly reached the point where rumors circulated about a CTE member being hospitalized after an altercation between CTE and Gucci Mane's crew. After trading disses on songs such as Jeezy's "24-23" and Gucci's "Mini 14," both artists agreed to end the longstanding feud as Drama mediated.

"I've been loving Hip Hop since I was about five or seven...God blessed me with the opportunity to be in this game and change lives," Drama said. "Both of you are so important to Hip Hop, the culture and the A-Town. I think if we man up, we can change the world. We can do what has never been done before."

Both artists then agreed to end the feud on their parts, with Jeezy going so far as to offer Gucci his well wishes before "La Flare's" impending prison date. Friday, Drama told MTV News that Power 104's "Hurricane" Dave, Def Jam's Bu Thiam and fellow Aphiliate DJ Sense were all instrumental in the truce.

As far as a officially collaborating again, both Gucci and Jeezy seemed open to the idea, with Gucci offering, "We finna make a movie. You know what we about to do!"
