Jim Jones Leaves Columbia For E1

Jim Jones has left Columbia Records to rejoin E1, formerly known as Koch Records.

According to XXLMag.com, the Dipset Capo has signed a deal to release his next solo album on E1, as well as a mixtape.

During his tenure at Columbia, Jones released his fourth solo album, Pray IV Reign. At E1, he released the the albums On My Way to Church, Harlem: Diary of a Summer and Hustler's P.O.M.E. (Product of My Environment).

In addition to his successful run at E1 as a solo artist, Jones was appointed as vice president of urban A&R at the label last January.

As of now, Jim Jones has yet to provide a reason for his leaving the label switch. More on the story as it develops.
