DX News Bits: Lawsuit Edition
Quincy Jones III, the films producer, recently spoke to CNN regarding the lawsuit against The Carter.
"The interesting thing is that Wayne saw the film and liked it," Jones told CNN. "Even in the declaration of the lawsuit, it says that he likes the movie -- so we're not sure if [the suit] is coming from him or that's someone else."
Several reports have claimed that the lawsuit stems from Lil Wayne not being granted final-cut approval when it came down to the release of the film.
In other lawsuit news, rapper 50 Cent has just won his lawsuit against fast-food franchise Taco Bell.
In the suit, 50 Cent claims that Taco Bell used his name without permission to promote their value menu.
"As is often the case in these situations, the parties have agreed not to discuss anything about the settlement except to say both sides are satisfied," 50 Cent's lawyer, Peter Raymond told the New York Post.
Last year. Taco Bell mailed out a letter they allegedly sent to 50 Cent asking him to change his name to 79 Cent, 89 Cent, etc. to various media outlets.
