Diddy Shares Reacts To Mase Contract Fallout, Black Rob
Recent news circulated around Diddy and the Harlem World rapper who were in a contractual disagreement over legal ties to the label. Earlier this year, Diddy released Mase from his contract with Bad Boys and announced, "[Mase] has the freedom to go do whatever he wants to do".
In the Hot 97 interview with Funk Flex, Diddy discussed the financial aspect of how the business relationship with Mase turned sour. "We had unfinished business after the first [album]," he stated, referring to the renegotiation of the multi-million dollar advance, or "good faith loan", to do multiple albums. "Fool me once, fool me twice, whatever. You ain't gonna fool me three times," he added.
Diddy also talked about his current standing relationship with Black Rob. "I can't keep Black Rob out of jail," he stated. "I love Black Rob to death... He was definitely one of the dopest artists Ive ever had the pleasure of working with," he professed.
Black Rob, who is serving a seven year prison sentence stemming from a grand larceny charge in 2004, is scheduled for release in 2013.
Aside from the drama surrounding Mase's contract relinquishment from Bad Boy, Diddy has a new album in the works titled The Last Train to Paris, and is managing his newest group, Dirty Money, which consists of Dawn Richard of Danity Kane and singer Kaleena. Diddy's first single off of the album, "Angels", features Dirty Money and the late Notorious B.I.G.
