DJ AM's Mother Faults Plane Crash For Suicide In Lawsuit
DJ AM's mother has amended her son's $20 million lawsuit against the manufacturer of the Learjet that crashed upon takeoff in 2008, nearly resulting in his and Travis Barker's death.
Andrea Gross, mother of AM - real name Adam Goldstien - is now contending that the deejay's suicide is related to the crash, according to People.
"The crash ultimately caused Adam Goldstein's death at a later date," states a document from the suit. Originally named in the suit, in addition to the plane manufacturer, were the pilots' estates, as well as others. Gross' addition is a wrongful death claim.
A March 2 trial date has been set. Learjet denies responsibility for the crash, despite friends' and associates' allegations that the trauma from the crash lead to his fatal overdose on August 28.
