Freeway has finally announced a solid release date for his third solo album The Stimulus Package. In an interview with HipHopDX in March, Freeway said the album would come out this past summer, however, the album has been pushed back until Feb. 16, 2010. G-Unit beat maker Jake One will produce the entire album. During the interview in March, Jake One described how he and Freeway came together to create the project.
"I was trying to get him on my album so I sent some beats to his manager and he ended up using a joint on his album. We just kept working. It just came together naturally."
The CD will drop on the independent Rhymesayers Entertainment record label. As a precursor to the upcoming album, the two have already put out a mixtape called The Beat Made Me Do It with assistance from DJ Don Cannon, available today.
