Black Sheep Announce December EP

One of Hip Hop's more active Native Tongues affiliates is Black Sheep. Since their gold-selling 1991 LP A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing, Dres and on-again, off-again partner Mista Lawnge have released albums and EPs through to 2006's 8WM/Novakane. The same month their biggest hit, "The Choice Is Yours" was incorporated into the recent Young Dro video for "I Don't Know Y'all," Dres has announced that he'll be releasing From The Black Pool Of Genius: The Prelude December 1.

The EP will serve as a digitally-sold precursor to the 2010 album. The album boasts a production reunion with D.I.T.C. co-founder Showbiz, who worked on the Sheep's 1994 sophomore album, Non Fiction.

The EP is backed by the single "Forever Luvlee." Dres said of the song, "Don't put things before people, keep God in your heart always (whatever you call him). Try to find balance in these chaotic days - be Luvlee."

The Black Pool Of Genius: The Prelude is available December 1.
