Stones Throw producer/rapper Madlib is launching the Madlib Medicine Show: a six-LP, 12-CD, once a month series, according to stonesthrow.com.
The project will be a mixture of new Hip Hop production by Madlib, remixes, beat tapes and jazz, in addition to funk, soul, Brazilian, psych, and other genres - much of which will come from the producer's reported four ton stack of vinyl.
The Madlib Medicine Show's first installment, is Before the Verdict featuring Guilty Simpson. It will run 17 tracks long, and will contain remixes and new material, serving as a prequel to the pair's upcoming OJ Simpson album. Before the Verdict is planned as a limited-edition release.
The second installment, Flight to Brazil, is a mixtape with Brazilian jazz, funk, prog-rock, folk and psychedelia.
