50 Cent: This Is Sequel To Get Rich or Die Tryin'
As the end of November, 50 Cent is set to release Before I Self Destruct. With songs leaking to the net, 50 has also released the video to "Baby By Me," [click to view] which features Kelly Rowland.
In a recent interview with Billboard [click here], the emcee noted why he decided to use her in the video.
"She's beautiful...and has a really strong international presence. You can't forget all the work she did with Destiny's Child. The difference between Kelly and Beyonce is the extreme focus they put on Beyonce to make sure she was completely right. Kelly wasn't held in the same regard, so, in order for her to mean anything to America, they'd have to match the marketing dollars spent on Beyonce. She never received the superstar treatment."
Later in the interview, Fif also added that this album was like a sequel to Get Rich or Die Tryin' [click to read].
"This album is the sequel to Get Rich Or Die Tryin -- it has all the elements that I missed writing about on that first project. That album translated the strongest and what I presented then was a lot of aggression. The actual album has lyrics about moments from my childhood, and I describe them from a child's perspective."
One of the songs set to appear on the album is "Psycho," a song that features a guest spot from Eminem [click here].
