"24," one of Fox's new television shows for the Fall season, will look at various events in an interesting fashion: through one 24-hour period. A fascinating concept--if done properly. Director Antoine Fuqua (The Replacement Killers, Bait) tries to work this cop drama in such a way, attempting to do it, however, as inconspicuously as possible. Mariah, if you ever decide to leave the stressful world of pop music for the equally-stressful world of pop movies, you've got to work on a few things. For starters, you have to talk more. Scenes go by in your glossy new movie without you uttering more than a sentence or two. Ms. Carrey that simply cannot happen.
