If you liked Wu Tang Clan's The W, then you'd probably like Ghost Dog. When the Wu put out an album, they come with the mentality and a highly trained lyrical assassin. In Ghost Dog, the hero is a highly trained assassin who has a strict code of the samurai to follow. East meets West in this hip-hop infused samurai-gangster movie in which Forest Whitaker plays a professional killer who goes by the name of Ghost Dog and who lives by the age-old code of the Samurai. When Ghost Dog's code is dangerously betrayed by the dysfunctional mafia family that occasionally employs him, he must find a way to defend himself without breaking the code of the Samurai.
The Wu have always been known for there repeated associations with the martial arts in their music. So what better movie to choose than Ghost Dog, a movie which preaches the philosophy of the samurai, to represent the mentality of the Wu-Tang Clan.![]()
