    J. cole the man, but someone else said Fashawn is better lyricist and thats true. Fashawn number 1 Freshman to me.

    • bailey:

both can't fuck with elzhi but you said freshman class so i'm still with you ...

hopefully black milk's new shit will start bringin that el some much needed exposure but i doubt album of the year will reach the masses

    • bailey:

and jay electronica is a freshman in war vet's clothing. if you're talkin based on first album you have to mention him

  • MikeyMiLLs:

this tape is hella ill nana bro.. real talk

  • grandson:

j coles good...but he's not gonna get anywhere in the mainstream. #justbeingreal

  • CNrook:

no 5 because its majority old stuff..

  • KaramuKarim:

    beast

  • Luzh:

    J Cole too cold
Young brother from the ville with a soul too old.
Still paying dues, still ripping these bars
While lesser talents out there still trying to be stars
Got respect for the game but more for the art
J Cole Vin Diessel on these rappers, man apart

  • VINCENT X:

    J. COLE? DAMN.......DIS NICCA IZ NICE!!! IMMA PHUCK WIT DUKE.

    DETROIT WESTSIDE

  • 317HO:

Man there aint NOBODY killin J.cole lyrically rite now (at this point in time)

    • 317HO:

BTW da only reason this didnt get a 5 star ratin is cuz its all old shit

  • Yassin:

From all these new mc's, i'd put Fashawn, Blu, Freddie Gibbs, Jay Elec. and Curren$y above him. But there are hundreds of mc's who broke through these years so a 6th place is still pretty fucking good.
Also, there is no new shit on this mixtape, all the songs were on The Warm Up, Here's Jermaine or The Come Up.

  • PREMiER_#3:

OMG!!! NOOOO!! Give me one rapper that flows HARDER then J.COLE!!!!

    • jr0890:

Dog, this isn't a mixtape J.Cole put out. This is just random sh*t some DJ thru together. Listen to the Warm Up. That's real Cole. And yes he's slaughterin everybody in the game.

  • ItsKgosi!:

I think whats disappointing is that he is not getting the kinda love he should be. And because of Jays label it means if his records dont turn into sales we might see another real artist lost in the memories. I think the only thing missing in his music is a variety in hooks, but overall this cat is just incredible, his got the kinda flow that makes you listen....thats important. He is pretty young though, you can hear from how much he goes on bout woman

    • PREMiER_#3:

Agree wit everything u said, dont think jay-z was tha best option but least he got signed and hope jay-z reconizes how much talent he got in j.cole

  • jliv:

    fayettnam

  • hallucination:

  • east_atl_zone6:

This cat is blow hip hop up! Whats even better is that he's from the SOUTH!

"HIP HOP = Our culture, Our music, Our LIFE!!!"

    • ASIFFWHATTWIKKA:

      hes from NORTH carolina???

    • ChuppsD:

@ASIFFWHATTWIKKA my dude... Carolina (North and South) are southern states.................

  • Juke:

I'm just gonna say what we're all thinkin, honestly like seriously noobdy is fuckin wit J.Cole as far as just spittin.

It may be others who are more known and have bigger sales and what not but as far as just spittin there's nobody spittin like J.Cole.

J.Cole captivates you when you're listening to him.

    • Ganjarelli:

I'm not gonna say a damn thing bad about this boy here, but i gotta put a few names up for consideration. Crooked I? Joell Ortiz? Charles Hamilton? Come on man. There are a lot of really talented cats in the game just about now. I'd have to put Crooked on top though, Cole probably like 2nd or 3rd, but I'm somewhat bias towards Slaughterhouse right about now.

    • HarryLLord:

J.Cole is dope but to me Fashawn is a better lyricist and emcee out of the freshman

    • NUCCA:

      charles hamilton....hahahhahahahahahahhah lmfao GTFOH

    • randy:

LOL someone mentioned Charles Hamilton in comparison to thisss. LOL

  • gasoline:

ah man, thot this was new ish..ah well..

  • Franko Fire:

    J. Cole = The future of hip hop, look out
