Hitherto? What does it mean? Well, if youre a true Floetry fan you will look it up. It is the favorite word of one half of the group, the Floacist. If youve been anticipating the release of the next Floetry album you dont have to wait much longer.

Floetry is about getting the music to the people and thats exactly what theyve been doing. says Natalie. The two are truly are a touring band; having done over 160 live performances they are the least bit concerned with radio play. Weve been experiencing being on the tour bus and moving from state to state and being in front of people, not relying on what the radio stations are playing. Since the conception of their last album three years ago Floetry is back for a 3rd go around. On November 8th the expected birth of a new baby named, FloOlogy. The intertwining of the music mates, the Floacist (Natalie Stewart) and the Songstress (Marsha Ambrosius), has once again breathed life into the world.

What should Floetry fans expect from the 6&6 duo, 6X Grammy nominated and 6 Soul Train Awards, well according to them;

Expect what you expected last time. Just experience and inexperience and what does come. Just us speaking honestly about our lives. No longer 21 & 23 now 26 & 28, more therapy and more truth.

As demonstrated before, Floetry exhibits the uncanny ability to draw emotions from the listener that may not otherwise be felt. With the help of hit makers Scott Storch, Rafael Saadiq and not to mention Common, who appears on the first single, the CD will be a must have for true lovers of music.

FloOlogy is about women taking more responsibility for what goes on in our lives. Now that we are more mature, weve come to a better understanding of ourselves, and naturally thats reflected on the album says Marsha.

One of the many secrets to the success of the band, being true to themselves and not letting the commercialism of the world define their sound. It took three trips from the UK to the US before the pair took the world by storm. After being invited to Philly for a performance they met the right people in the right place at the right time. When we went to the studio to do a demo it ended up being an eleven song demo created in a week. One of the songs from the demo being Michael Jacksons Butterflies which we recorded six months later, hence the creation of a remarkable and unbreakable duo.

To add to their credits are songs theyve created for such artists as Jill Scott, Glen Lewis, Bilal, and even Styles P. Marsha is also credited for doing the background vocals for Justin Timberlakes, Cry Me A River. Theres more to Floetry then meets the eye. Theyre intellect allows them to take their music so much deeper than the average song. There attitudes as well as inspirations tend to different from the norm response.

I think the most inspiring things that has happened is the transitions of our grandmothers. That has shifted our lineage. Our mothers have become the grandmothers and us the mothers.

Even as you delve deeper into the psyche of Floetry theres so much more that they have to offer. One of the most valuable lessons learned from the industry is to not attach ones words to extent of validation. To always address oneself first. Always apply critique, understanding and advice to ones self first and to not be a Nutty Professor out here, try ones self out rather than preaching to somebody else.

As you listen to the FloOlogy CD, which is undoubtedly a true investment, you will experience a whole new journey of life experiences as the duo has matured and grown. The distinct differences from the last CD, Floetic, to now are obvious with lyrics that speak of more corporeal romantic experiences. If this isnt an album that you can relate to then I dont know what is. We have all experienced growing pains in the relationship realm of things and we have all taken the same path as expressed throughout the CD.

As the saying goes, the 3rd time is the charm; however weve experienced the touch of these angels before and we all know the 3rd album encompasses the it factor, the got to have it factor!
