J.U.S.T.I.C.E. 4 Thieves Contest
The hit-making producers for Rick Ross and Young Jeezy offer up a free instrumental for a chance for one lucky rapper to get a song of their own, with Crooks & Castles gear.
CROOKS & CASTLES has partnered with Karmaloop, HipHopDX and Grammy Award-winning producers J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League for a new contest, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. 4 CROOKS. This contest aims to find America’s next emcee or group of emcees, giving budding rappers the opportunity to demonstrate their skills.
Aspiring emcees can download the instrumental directly from this link. All submissions must be in song format and good audio quality for consideration of contest: two 16-bars verses and a chorus.
Songs should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. One submission per person, please no follow-ups.
The first place winner will have rights to the beat to be used on any project. The track will be released through various media sources such as HipHopDX, CrooksNCastles.com, etc and they will also be receiving product from CROOKS & CASTLES. The 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive product from CROOKS & CASTLES.
The J.U.S.T.I.C.E for CROOKS contest will begin June 13, 2011 and will run for two weeks until July 5, 2011. All tracks must be submitted by July 5, 2011. We will pick out the top 5-10 contestants and the fans will begin voting on HipHopDX once the finalists are announced.
(Update) We are very sorry for the delay. We are working with The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League and Crooks & Castles to get an update on the contest finalists. We appreciate your patience, and hope to have an update this week (7/25).
Employees of Crooks & Castles, Karmaloop and HipHopDX are not eligible to participate. Otherwise, the contest is open to the entire public.
