DX: I understand you’ve started working on your next album. What can you tell us about it?
L: It’ll be my sixth studio album, called Theater Of The Mind, and I’m just getting started on it so I can’t really tell you anything about who I’m gonna be working with. It should be released next summer, and it’s pretty much a mixture of all the albums I’ve done. With every album I’m always escalating and taking it another direction. I’m perfecting my craft, becoming better. As you get older, you change as a person. But of course you’ll hear the same Ludacris that most of the core audience loves. Then it’s always about taking things to the next level and doing things that people wouldn’t normally expect me to do.

DX: After more than 10 years in the business, what would you say are the secrets to career longevity?
L: Staying consistent and staying grounded. It’s just that simple.
