Sometimes Hip Hop can move at a pace too frantic for even the most devoted fan to keep up with. Albums and mixtapes are released at breakneck speed, careers are made and broken with the swipe of a pen, and somewhere in between all the madness actual music (the quality of which vacillates between excellent and god awful) is being made. Twitter provides a nice summary of everything 140 characters at a time. And if you’re the type that would rather not be bothered with stepping into the Twitterverse to catch up on the latest in Hip Hop, we’ve filtered through the top rapper’s tweets and consolidated all the week’s events into one convenient feed.
This week, Kendrick Lamar previews new music for Michael Jackson’s son, Juicy J hints at retiring from rap, and Chris Brown is stuck at the Canadian border.

Yeezy season truly is upon us, and after the balls-to-the-wall interviews and the gargantuan hype surrounding his adidas sneaker release, the man known as Mr. West has proven once again that he’s the most watched entertainer in the world. Of course, then, he dropped the title of his upcoming album and album art all willy nilly around 930pm last night on Twitter. Of course. It looks like he’ll be shipping this thing Beyonce´ style so just add a Google alert and refresh your page constantly so you don’t miss it.

I would like to publicly apologize to Beck, I’m sorry Beck.
— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) February 26, 2015
I also want to publicly apologize to Bruno Mars, I used to hate on him but I really respect what he does as an artist.
— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) February 26, 2015
I also would love for Bruno to sing this hook on this song 88 Keys / Puff and I produced… I even asked Tyler to shoot the vid.
— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) February 26, 2015
Looks like Kanye West recently had a slice of humble pie. Following the Grammy Awards, he suggested that Beck “should have given his award to Beyoncé.” No surprise there following his Taylor Swift stunt the year prior. The real surprise comes in these apologies. He also asks Bruno Mars to sing on a song he’s producing with Puff Daddy and 88 Keys.

Kid Cudi Lays Down Some Tough Love
If someone writes your raps u suck
— The Chosen One (@KidCudi) February 24, 2015
Most music doesn’t have this problem. If you’re Pop star it’s pretty understandable that your words aren’t written by you, you’re performing them. Your performance is the main thing. In Hip Hop it’s not so the case. We tend to look at Rappers like writers, and Toni Morrison isn’t Toni Morrison if her words were written by someone else, right? It looks like Kid Cudi takes that view.
