Sometimes Hip Hop can move at a pace too frantic for even the most devoted fan to keep up with. Albums and mixtapes are released at breakneck speed, careers are made and broken with the swipe of a pen, and somewhere in between all the madness actual music (the quality of which vacillates between excellent and god awful) is being made. Twitter provides a nice summary of everything 140 characters at a time. And if you’re the type that would rather not be bothered with stepping into the Twitterverse to catch up on the latest in Hip Hop, we’ve filtered through the top rapper’s tweets and consolidated all the week’s events into one convenient feed.
This week, YG does something for the kids, Metta World Peace is ecstatic to be referenced in Nicki Minaj’s lyrics, and Lupe Fiasco expresses frustration with fans calling him out on claiming Iggy Azalea has a place in Hip Hop.

@LupeFiasco u know what bro, I was out of line for calling you out your name just cuz I don't agree with you. For that I apologize.
— Freddie Gibbs (@FreddieGibbs) December 25, 2014
All good…ain't shit…much success to you in your endeavors "6 wings with da mild sauce" #RNS@FreddieGibbs
— Lupe Fiasco (@LupeFiasco) December 25, 2014
After Freddie Gibbs blasted Lupe Fiasco over Instagram for wearing KKK robes, Lupe fought back in only the way that Lupe can. It turns out the stills were from a video made in 2012, and although Freddie Gibbs took the photos out of context he still went all the way in on the Chicago rapper. All this (amongst other things) have led Lupe to announce that he will be leaving Twitter after the release of his album, or at least leaving the spectre of his thoughts on Twitter.

We’re not too sure what to make of this photo, except the fact that Kid Cudi might be making light of a rough 2014. His tweet summarizes his year of a football player grabbing his crotch mid-air… but landing in the touchdown zone? He recently got in a feud over a song leak with producer Chuck Inglish. I guess the picture is up for interpretation.
