Sometimes Hip Hop can move at a pace too frantic for even the most devoted fan to keep up with. Albums and mixtapes are released at breakneck speed, careers are made and broken with the swipe of a pen, and somewhere in between all the madness actual music (the quality of which vacillates between excellent and god awful) is being made. Twitter provides a nice summary of everything 140 characters at a time. And if you’re the type that would rather not be bothered with stepping into the Twitterverse to catch up on the latest in Hip Hop, we’ve filtered through the top rapper’s tweets and consolidated all the week’s events into one convenient feed.
This week, Tyga and Lil Twist sent shots to the dome of YMCMB, Azealia Banks blames “urban media” for not defending her from T.I.P., and Swaggy P comes to the aid of his lady Iggy Azalea.

— Chris Brown (@chrisbrown) October 13, 2014
Let me shut my black ass up!
— Chris Brown (@chrisbrown) October 13, 2014
Chris Brown recently takes to Twitter to express his thoughts on the recent Ebola virus crisis. He calls it a “form of population control.” Chris Brown isn’t too far off, as The Center For Disease Control calls the epidemic the “largest in history.” It currently affects multiple countries in Africa, with a recent incident in Texas as well. We agree Chris.

Tyga Complains About His Young Money Label
Gold album been done. my label holding me hostage so i can’t release nothing. might just leak it for my fans then let them make $ off it.
— T-Raww (@Tyga) October 10, 2014
The music industry is a devils playground. Im a man of God.
— T-Raww (@Tyga) October 10, 2014
In 2011, T-Raw signed to Lil Wayne’s Young Money record label. Three years later, Tyga is not pleased. He goes off on a Twitter rant, claiming that the label is “holding him hostage” by not letting him release his new album. He hints at the idea of just leaking it for his fans instead of letting them make money off it. This leads to a frustrating statement about the music industry as a whole.

The Texas rapper is currently signed to Young Money, who seems to be sharing the same feelings as Tyga. Big Sean’s hit single “I Don’t Fuck With You” featuring E-40 was an automatic banger the second it was released. Taking over clubs and radio stations, we find ourselves vibin’ to the track, even if we are “fuckin” with it. Now, Big Sean has created an app where you can edit a photo by blurring out whatever it is you don’t like in it. Hashtag IDFWY, genius.
