Sometimes Hip Hop can move at a pace too frantic for even the most devoted fan to keep up with. Albums and mixtapes are released at breakneck speed, careers are made and broken with the swipe of a pen, and somewhere in between all the madness actual music (the quality of which vacillates between excellent and god awful) is being made. Twitter provides a nice summary of everything 140 characters at a time. And if you’re the type that would rather not be bothered with stepping into the Twitterverse to catch up on the latest in Hip Hop, we’ve filtered through the top rapper’s tweets and consolidated all the week’s events into one convenient feed.

This week, Dreamville’s J. Cole and Bas grace the Osheaga 2014 stage in Montreal and Tyler, The Creator shows his excitement about Pharrell Williams headlining his third annual Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival.

Drake Doesn’t Think Rihanna Is The Devil

Earlier this week (specifically Monday night in Toronto during OVO Fest), Drake showed a couple images which the internet made out to be a satanic RIh Rih. While he was performing “Days In The East,” a 6 appeared on the screen, followed by an red-stained image of Rihanna, followed by another 6, another pic of Rih and finally, a third 6. Drake put the short-lived rumor to rest when he mentioned the 6 stood for his hometown Toronto and that Rihanna is a “great girl.”

Diddy Just Made Us All Feel Old

Unless you were born post 1998, Diddy’s reminder of how long ago the 90s were will make you feel a little aged because 1998 doesn’t feel like that long ago but, WHAT, it was a whole 16 years ago.
