Tweets Is Watching: Nicki Minaj's Upcoming Album Is "A True Fucking Story"

Nicki Minaj tells fans her upcoming album is based on a true story and Game privately settles the Hollywood nightclub racist matter.

Sometimes Hip Hop can move at a pace too frantic for even the most devoted fan to keep up with. Albums and mixtapes are released at breakneck speed, careers are made and broken with the swipe of a pen, and somewhere in between all the madness actual music (the quality of which vacillates between excellent and god awful) is being made. Twitter provides a nice summary of everything 140 characters at a time. And if you’re the type that would rather not be bothered with stepping into the Twitterverse to catch up on the latest in Hip Hop, we’ve filtered through the top rapper’s tweets and consolidated all the week’s events into one convenient feed.

This week, Kanye West sends a simple Mother's Day greeting, Danny Brown gets excited when English soccer club team Arsenal wins the FA Cup and we look through the vaults for an interesting tweet from Beyoncé's sister Solange.

Solange On Almost Killing Beyoncé's Boyfriend Back In The Day

It's not exactly a Tweet that was Tweeted this week but it still relates to the recent happenings of Jay Z, Solange and Beyonce and it was kind of funny and scary. Back in 2009, Solange shared a little story with her followers. When she was little, she tried to kill Beyoncé's teenage boyfriend. She had a great plan. She also ended the tweet with a scary smiley face. Solange didn't give details to why she'd try to kill Bey's teen ex but it looks like the plan was never executed. Isn't everything making sense now?

Nicki Minaj's Upcoming Album Is Based On A True Story

Nicki Minaj's fans remember everything. Two weeks ago, Nicki had Tweeted that she had something important to share in two weeks and a couple days or so. Well, her fans began wildly Tweeting her begging for her single or the single's artwork or anything to be released. Young Money's first lady told her fans that she may release the artwork but they were going to have to wait on the single because the wait will be worth it. She also included that the song is based on a "true story." "The entire album is a true fucking story," she continued to Tweet. We'll be on the lookout, Nicki.

Statik Selektah Provides Solid Career Advice

Statik Selektah has maintained relationships with artists from new and older generations. His attitude towards his colleagues is simple. "Salute your peers when they win. Compliments don't ever get old," he tweeted. The positive mentality is something that others could be lacking and possibly halting their music careers. If you think about it, it goes beyond rap. Giving props and providing support to your coworkers in any industry is something that should be practiced more often.

Danny Brown Is A Soccer Fan

Soccer isn't exactly the most loved sport for Americans. It's really comes down to only two, basketball and football. Who knew that Danny Brown was a fan of Arsenal, a team in the English Premier League? He even attached a picture for proof and that he's really a fan and not a bandwagoner because Arsenal just won the FA Cup, after nine years. His fans, who were also fans of the soccer team, tweeted him at the end of the game when they realized that he was rooting for Arsenal. Danny Brown's fan base just got wider and more international.

Chance The Rapper Calls Out Sick For Hangout Music Fest Set

Last month, Chance The Rapper cancelled his second Coachella set due to health problems that sent him to the hospital. It was later revealed that the cause of his illness was a "combination of the flu virus and tonsilitis." On Saturday afternoon, Hangout Music Festival announced that Chance will not perform "due to illness." There is no clarification on whether the illnesses are related but so far, the Chicago emcee and newly inducted XXL Freshman has had to cancel a handful of shows. On his last illness, his manager said that "Chance was running a 104 degree fever and could not speak due to the inflammation of his throat." Let's hope it's less serious this time around and that Chance gets the rest he needs.

Tyler, The Creator Calls BuzzFeed Employees, "Crybabies"

When Tyler, the Creator invaded the offices of BuzzFeed, he came in wearing a Batman mask and began to yell while the website's employees sat still in their chairs. They may have looked up once or twice but mainly took to Twitter to share with the Twittersphere the kind of shenanigans Tyler was pulling. One employee tweeted, "Tyler the Creator just walked into the office, started screaming, and then shot someone with a Nerf gun. Casual Wednesday." Another employee tweeted, "I just asked @fucktyler where Frank Ocean is. "I don't know. I'm not his fucking boyfriend." Tyler knew his slapstick humor wasn't appreciated when he tweeted about the crybabies who didn't like him being "colorful." According to their HuffPost Live interview, he and the rest of his crew members ended up having a good interview at BuzzFeed, despite the supposed lack of energy.

Kanye West Sends A Simple Mother's Day Greeting

Kanye West is known for being extravagant. He got his fiancée and mother of his child Kim Kardashian a wall completely covered with cream-colored roses, hydrangeas and peonies for her first Mother's Day. It's been almost seven years since his mother Donda West passed away and on Mother's Day, 'Ye sent out a simple tweet that says "hi Mom" with a picture of a city's skyline with hovering clouds attached. Donda West passed away in 2007 due to heart disease after complications post-plastic surgery. Her death deeply affected Kanye and lead him to create 808s & Heartbreak, a year later.

Tech N9ne Reacts To Having The #1 Album This Week

Every Wednesday, HipHopDX releases the current Hip Hop album sales numbers and rankings on the Billboard 200. This week, Tech N9ne's collaborative album, Strangeulation, debuted at #5 on the chart and doubled as the #1 Rap album of the week. In his tweet, he thanked his loyal fans for helping making an Independent album debut in the top 10 on its first week. He previously told HipHopDX that this album had the most preorders ever out of all of his albums. He estimated about 10,000 preorders. Not too shabby for an independent artists who's been dubbed by Forbes as one of Hip Hop's highest paid artists.

ScHoolboy Q Quits Not Smoking

It looks like one of our favorite West Coast smokers ScHoolboy Q quit smoking. That all ended today. Q is back in Los Angeles for one night, to perform at Power 106's summer concert PowerHouse, and it looks like he's looking forward to lighting one up. Not sure how long the TDE member was planning on being sober but his hometown must hold a power over him that he simply cannot resist. Or maybe he was just stressed from being sober. Because it's a lot of work.

Game Privately Settles The LAPD And Hollywood Nightclub Racist Matter

Game has had it tough with nightclubs lately. First, it was the altercation at Supperclub and recently, he talked to TMZ and accused Los Angeles nightclub Lure and the LAPD of joining forces to keep minorities out of the clubs. He was boycotting Toxic, a day party that Lure holds, on social media and now it seems that he's resolved the matter privately. Game claims to have spent more than $250,000 at the club so he doesn't feel like he or anyone else he rolls with should be treated that way.
