According to a familiar cliché, a picture is worth a thousand words. Your favorite celebrities—including rappers—are doing less and less press, but luckily their thumbs and smartphones still work. Instagram has provided a way for them to document their lives and/or thoroughly embarrass themselves for our collective enjoyment. The beauty of it all is that you don’t even need to join Instagram, as most rappers are perfectly fine leaving their feeds open for public viewing. Benzino Talks A Hospital Selfie With Stevie J

Over the weekend, Benzino was shot at his mother's funeral by his own nephew. In a hospital interview, Benzino revealed that he was grazed in the back and shot in the arm during the shooting. Many friends and family of 'Zino stopped by to wish the rapper, a speedy recovery. As you can see in the picture above, Benzino's "The Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" co-star Stevie J was one of the few who paid a visit and one of the only ones to take a selfie with Benzino post-shooting.

Wale Walks With Assistance

Its only been few days since Wale reportedly punched a heckler at the WWE Raw event.The source who saw the fight break out said, "The next thing I know Wale is putting the smackdown on dude. Punched him dead in his face. It was a full fight." It still hasn't been determined whether the fight happened or just ended up being series of shoves but either way, get well soon, Wale!

 

Rap Quotes At Criminal Courts

Jay Shells who runs The Rap Quotes is known for posting street signs with rap quotes in their appropriate locations. In one of his latest, Jay took a line form Cam'ron's S.D.E. cut, "Come Kill Me," and posted it up at it's rightful home in front of 100 Centre Street in New York City. Unfortunately, it wasn't up for long. Jay's cation reads, "Got this one up in the rain storm. @mr_camron @iamjuju_ Obviously there were cops everywhere, so to keep it totally 100, I'll tell you that I removed this after we got the photo. Wish I could have let it shine, but it wasn't worth it." A picture is still worth a thousand words.

Nicki Minaj Makes A Wish Come True

With the help of a NBA player, a little girl had a dream encounter. Meet Miyah, a five-year-old cancer patient and a fan of Nicki Minaj. According to reports, Washington Wizards player John Wall posted a video on his Instagram page asking for Nicki's help in granting Miyah's wish. Nicki heard the call and invited Miyah and her mother to meet her for a visit. The memorable moments were captured on Instagram and Miyah was able to fulfill the second half of her wish, to don one of Nicki's signature pink wigs.

YG Shares Pre-Teen Picture For #TBT

Before YG was performing for packed audiences, he was just a kid forced to take school pictures with blueish swirly-textured backdrops. "THROW BAK THURSDAY 4REALZ. 7th or 8th grade shitt," he wrote, along with the picture post. The My Krazy Life rapper's picture must be over 10 years old so it safely qualifies as a Throwback Thursday.

Young Thug Previews "Stoner" Video

Say what you will, but this song has stuck-in-your-head type powers. Young Thug's single, "Stoner," is finally getting a video and to celebrate, he teased his fans with a small clip. The HDR-friendly video coordinates between solo shots and group shots, showing Young Thug rapping in clear skies. Along with the video, he wrote, "#STONERCOMINSOON STAY TUNED LOVERS." It seems like this single might stick around for another while longer after the video drops.

Ever wanted to crowd surf? Then don't watch this clip. As you can see, Freddie Gibbs has the crowd hyped, so hyped that a fan got on stage to live out her wildest rockstar dream. That dream was to float on a stream of fingertips. That dream was shattered as soon as she jumped. Gibbs had his back turned to the crowd for one second and missed the jump but quickly realized what happened and giggled during his performance. One second is all it takes for you to jump and for no one to catch you.

Game Poses For A Picture In Handcuffs

Hey, I'm in handcuffs and about to go for a ride, but first... let me take a selfie. The picture isn't an actual selfie by definition (only because his hands were occupied) but some ride-or-die friend snapped a shot of Game in cuffs. The caption read, "Me & @moneygangworldwide might be headed downtown to the twin towers... Only thing bout going to jail as a rich nigga is that... We bail out before we take mugshots #FuckThePolice #BloodMoney #LaFamilia" The picture was posted on Instagram the same day that news broke, reporting that Game is a suspect in a felony domestic violence investigation. It's unclear if the picture has any ties but what an interesting coincidence.

Hot 97 Summer Jam 2014 Artist Line Up Revealed

Hot 97's annual summer concert line up has been revealed and it's looking like a nice variety on that stage. Back in 2012, Lil Wayne cancelled Nicki Minaj's headlining set at Summer Jam because Peter Rosenberg dissed her then-single "Starships." Hope nothing too dramatic happens at Summer Jam this go around.

Happy Anniversary To The Carters

April 4 marked Beyoncé and Jay Z's sixth wedding anniversary. To commemorate the event, Bey posted a vintage picture taken in the Bronx around 2002 with the caption, "Crazy In Love." That makes it about 12 years that the couple have been together. Bonnie and Clyde '14. Congrats to the Carters!
