Hailing from the city of sizzurp, candy paint, and grillz is Houston’s first lady. After delivering star after star, H-Town is looking for its female star. So who are the females to bring in their emceeing skills and shed light on the city brighter than ever? Troublesum is now here to make a name for herself and once again bring out the new wave of female emcee’s.

Most females get criticized for their ways of trying to get into the industry. For this matter many that want to get on from the jump are given a bad name. Troublesum doesn’t take no for an answer and for that she knows she’s going to make it. Recently featured on Rap City’s “Spit Your Game” the ferocious female artist lets it known she’s as good as the guys. With the words to back it up why she’s next Troublesum with no question spits her game and talks her shit.

Why She is Houston's First Lady: "Right now I’m pretty much holding it down for the female rappers in the city. That’s what they gave me, and I ran with it."

On If There Is Hate Because Of It: "Of course not. [Laughs] You can’t deny it. To get mad, you would have to be upset with yourself and if you don’t like what I do, grind harder. I don’t get any negative feedback and when you have dudes behind you like Trae The Truth, Slim Thug, Cory Mo, Chamillionaire [click to read], it’s pretty hard to get upset when you got niggas like that behind you."

Female Emcees That Gave Her Inspiration: "I really look up to Queen Latifah, Roxanne Shante, Foxy Brown, Lil Kim, Eve, Lauryn Hill. I really got my inspiration from Tupac, Biggie, Jay-Z [click to read], all the dudes in the game really."

What Is “Troublesum” About Her Music: "What is troublesome about my music is that I go against the grain. Sometimes I do things that may upset a couple people or I may not do things the industry executives may want you to do. Sometimes I am looked at as a troublemaker as to being a little troublesome, but I mean it’s for good trouble."

Hardships As A Female: "I think it’s difficult for women to make it into this industry, because a lot of times with us women being women, we get distracted. It’s a lot of women that made it easy for us to be labeled as hoes and to not be taken seriously. They have compromised their self-respect and done other things to get ahead. All you really need to do is grind and let these niggas know you just as good. That’s what makes it difficult, because I don’t think the game or niggas take female rappers seriously."

Why She Differs: "This gift that has been given to me I take it serious. I’m in love with Hip Hop and I look at it as my dude. Am I going to leave my dude? never! That’s what will separate me from any other rapper or female rapper that’s out, because of my dedication to the game. For that is what will give me longevity in this business."

Image And Portrayal: "I want them to see me as who I am. My image is I’m saddity and from the streets. I grew up upper-class and then we lost everything. The other half of my life I grew up in the hood. It’s kind of like I entered the best of both worlds. Had I not entered the hood I really would’ve never known what rap was."

Next Up For Troublesum: "I just wrapped up shooting for Rap City so make sure you check me on Rap City’s 'Spit Your Game.' I’m also working on another film with Trae The Truth called Against Everything. It’s definitely a ghetto classic and something for the hood. I’m hosting a couple mixtapes overseas and just tryna stay grinding staying busy."
