Hip hop started out in the park, two turn tables and a microphone. Who would’ve thought that in three decades that we’d go from the hood to Hollywood? Nonetheless, hip hop is at it’s best right now in terms of the almighty dollar but we’re seeing the worst of times artistically. *pause for the cause* I know that most of you think I’m about to get on my editorial soap box and fire away at three fifths of the Billboard charts, but ladies and gents, B-boys and B-girls, it’s a new day. In case you missed the byline, allow me to repeat: fuck New York, fuck the south, fuck the west coast. Fuck you all very much, from the bottom of my heart.
