The best sign in the Zodiac is Scorpio. No arguments amongst you bickering nobodies who already have too much to complain about. With that said, HHDX proudly introduces you to Ms. Liza Irizarry. This Puerto Rican and Dominican beauty has graced the pages of Maxim, Smooth, and KING magazines.

Born in Washington Heights in New York City, this passionate artist has kept her love affair with music going ever since she was eleven years old. Citing her parents as major influences in her life, this Bronx Bomber fell deep into the sounds of Mary J. Blige, SWV, The Four Tops, and the sounds of Merengue.

HHDX sits down with Ms. Liza Irizarry as she gives her thoughts about the “bring New York back” hip-hop trend, talks about why her boyfriend can’t stop her shine, and how Ciara’s “Promise is comparable to her sex style.

HHDX: Some of our readers may not be familiar with your face. Can you tell us what you’ve been featured in?

LI: I have done a lot of work, actually. I did a movie with Jody Foster and Terrence Howard called The Brave One (2007). I also am did a movie with Marc Anthony called El Cantante (2006). If you look at issue #27 of Smooth Magazine, you’ll see me in there, too. I did a commercial with LL Cool J. The work doesn’t ever stop.

Most girls in this business, though, act stuck up. I’ve been to photo shoots where the girls act like they’ve already made it. Like they’re a damn Tyra Banks or something [laughs]. I’m not like that, though, I try to get along with everyone. No one has really had beef with me, but I hear stories from other girls about what goes on in this industry. A lot of my good, good friends, I’ve met doing shoots. I had done an ad with Big Tigger, it appeared in Donk Magazine. One of the models, Vanessa… we had we met there almost a year ago and to date, we’re best friends. A lot of girls don’t go to shoots to make friends, but I do. Continued on page 2 »
