If you were looking for a muy caliente chica, then look no further than Beautiful Bebe. The Chicago native is a stunning blend of spices and seduction and is currently on the rise within the entertainment industry.

Raised in Logan Square/Humbolt Park, this luscious Latina grew up and filled out and went on to attend Roosevelt University. After gaining her degree in Finance, the Beautiful One became an executive assistant for a brokerage firm in Chicago. Having made it to the top, the finance world was more in awe of Bebe’s size-47 “assets,” instead of her asset to the company.

She left for greener pastures in New York and since then has appeared in Smooth and Black Men’s Magazine. Her official website, BeautifulBebe.com is launched and she’s scheduled to drop a DVD. The powerful Puerto Rican talks with Beauty & Brains about her humble beginnings, her love of rap music and professes her love for thugs!

HHDX: So, for those who may not be familiar with your name, give a little background information on how you are?

BB: Well, I go by the name of Beautiful Bebe and for those who don’t know I’ve been featured in Smooth Magazine, I’m in the April-May issue of Black Men’s Magazine. I come from the finance world. I got my degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois.

HHDX: As a born Chicagoan, your team is doing well in the NBA playoffs, having swept Miami. How has your hometown helped you navigate the modeling business?
BB:
I haven’t gone back home ever since I moved to New York/New Jersey. My family is very supportive. The people I know are too, they knew that I was going to be a star. Like I said before, I’m from the finance world, so I never really pursued modeling. It was just an opportunity that came my way. So, since I am doing it, I am going hard with it.

HHDX: You’re in Maino’s video My Life Is A Movie (Remix). How did you get the part and are you a fan of rap music?

BB:
They called my manager A.B. and told him that they wanted me to do a cameo in the video. It wasn’t really that much of a problem. I know Maino, he’s a good guy. I am a fan of rap music, too. I’ve been listening to the music for about ten years. Some of it was Spanish, but I love the music…

HHDX: …I should’ve known because you got Uncle Murder’s Bullet, Bullet on your page. Are you a thug lovin’ chick?

BB: [Laughs] That’s my boy. I love me a thug! He’s definitely got to be business savvy. Just by me being in finances, I would love to be able to make sure that someone is able to handle theirs. I love a hood mah’fucka! He has to be a corporate thug, though.

HHDX: You know that Gemini’s are crazy, right? You think that you could handle a thug?
BB:
You don’t understand… I love a fucking thug! To me, that’s sexy! I don’t like pretty boys or guys who act soft. I think that if you’re personality is right and you handle your business then let’s do it. I’m game.

HHDX: With so many ladies gunning for the same spot – what makes you stand out?
BB:
I think what makes me stand out is my personality. Besides having a nice body, my personality makes me stand out. I’m fun, I’m very loving and I like to make people laugh. I really feel that there’s no limit to what I like to do. I have a personality that makes people naturally gravitate towards me. But because I’m a Gemini, I know that I kind of have a split personality. I go through a mood changes from time to time.

HHDX: If you were stranded on an island and could only bring one person and one outfit – who would it be, what would you wear?

BB: Denzel Washington and I wouldn’t wear anything.

HHDX: Denzel? He’s not a thug… he can play one, but he’s not a thug!

BB:
He can be! He’s from Mount Vernon, NY… that’s not a nice place, you know?! Deep down inside, he’s a thug!

HHDX: Has there ever been one major down point in your career that had you questioning continuing modeling?

BB: I am not patient… That’s my thing. Sometime it takes me to be just to the point of not wanting to do it anymore. I don’t have patience for certain things. By me being in this industry now, it’s crazy. There are so many people in my ear, so I sometimes think about what I’m trying to do. You have to fall back, be yourself and keep building.

HHDX: With a gorgeous body – what is one misconception that people have of you?
BB:
The misconception is that I’m a diva. They think that I think that I’m too good to be approached. Some people think that I look too good to be talked to. I think the worst thing someone has ever said to me that they told me to smile when I wasn’t in the mood too, but I don’t get really disrespected.

HHDX: In an industry that is male dominated – can a woman make a success out of themselves in the music/modeling business without having to be eye candy?

BB:
Yes. Totally, I believe so. If you stay in the model mode, I can’t fault you. But if you have goals, then you can figure out what you want to do. This kind of became an option for me. I didn’t have to do this. I don’t want to be considered a model. I want to begin to take acting classes. I have scripts that I’m reading. I am Latina, I can take it to my Spanish market. You create what you want in your mind. If you want to be eye candy, then you can be that. But that can only take you so far.

HHDX: Is there anything else that you want to say to the readers of HipHopDX.com’s Beauty & Brains section?

BB: I would like to let everyone know that you can check me out on my website and my MySpace. Send me a message, a comment, questions… whatever, I check it all out!
