In an attempt to reinvent himself and, in a sense, 'try again', beat chairman Timberland has started his own label. The Beat Club, which is distributed through Universal records, introduce its first signing who goes by the name Bubba Sparxx. And his first release Dark Days, Bright Nights shows that white MC's aren't just eye candy.

The album's 18 tracks, of which Tim produces seven, show that Mosley's creativity is in no danger of disappearing soon. Wit h the lead single Ugly absolutely murdering airwaves and dance floors across the globe, Bubba couldn't have asked for a better introduction into the game.

Signature Timberland is all over this album. Bubba Talk is classic Timberland and kind of sounds like a paragon of Jay Z's Hola Hovito but with a cow gracing the background. Other hits that stick to the mental include All The Same featuring Sleepy Brown and BackBone of Organized Noize fame. As well O.N. throwing down bouncy production on the jam. Also Get Right, which sounds like an instant club hit, It's Burnin' featuring Kosha and Bo Hagin and Regardless featuring C.I. The pair bang back and forth with C.I's first verse describing how he would rob a corner store and take nothing but chips.

Being the first to come out of a club run by an individual, who has changed the face of urban music, has to be nothing short of overwhelming. But Bubba's style, farmhouse voice and adaptable flow, mixed with Timberland's beats, make for an impressive debut. And with Ms. Jade following soon, Bubba Sparxx is following the trend of the "have-fun MC who would like to do nothing less than sell fifty million, then I'll call it quits".

Out of 5: three and a half (that's based on the beats being more interesting than the lyrics.)
