so i had this friend that moved to my city, he was from Detroit. He was the epitome of what DETROIT stood for (besides the sports). I remember he knew every word in Eminems catalogue (dude even looked like him a bit). Anything that came out of the D, he always repped. Somehow, everything reverted to an old Eminem record. We always argued about which Eminem song was the best. He always asked if i heard the new Proof record, or the new Obie Trice freestyle, Trick Trick, D12 etc. Then the radio station we were working for sold, he moved back to his hometown, hooked his best friend up with my ex gf.....and its been a wrap ever since. Reason i tell this story is because one day, we stayed editing Proof songs to play on the radio (even though we werent supposed to), and played them shits anyway because he wanted to rep the D so hard.
2 years ago, D12 member Proof was murdered. Even though his passing was tragic and unfortunate, he will never be forgotten. "Just Rhyming With Proof" will forever go down as a classic and as a kid, that was my introduction to Big Proof. He def played an intricate role in Eminems career.
