 This is real basic, If you da da da, then you da da da. Brief explanations when I feel like it...if I don't, oh well. Just some things I've concluded after spending the time I've spent here and on various message boards


1. If you think Nas won the battle with Jay, Then you are clearly a hater

I love Nas' music, but come on man! Jay spit straight truth on those shots he threw at Nas. That shit hit close to home, Nas went into "God Son" saying "he needed a chick that wouldn't sleep with his enemies,” Nas was hurt. "Ether" was dope, but really it was like a little kid talking making up jokes about his dad, after his dad scolded him for having bad grades, not doing his chores, and still shitting on his self. While the kid may be funny, the reality of what the dad is worse

2. If you think hip hop is only music and not that serious, then you really shouldn't be reading any of the blogs on HipHopDx.

I've seen this stated several times, "Oh, it's just music, its just entertainment" No, it's not. This is a culture. None of the bloggers here get paid (for blogging). They do this shit because they want to. They shout out artists that will never sell a million units because they can really feel their music. They take time out of their busy schedules to write about this music because they are truly apart of this culture. So sure, to you it may be "just music" but understand where you’re at. I'm from Long Beach; I don't walk around a crip neighborhood saying "Red is just a color". Smarten up niggas

3. If you think "Electric Circus" was whack (the Common album), Then you can't possibly feel anything from Andre 3000

I know I've been bigging up Common recently, but oh well, the shit shall continue. A lot of people diss dude for "Electric Circus". I'll admit, it's not one of my favorite Common albums. However I find it funny when these same people turn right around and praise Andre from Outkast. Me personally, I think Andre is dope, but I just find it hella strange he does some shit like that it's dope, Common does it, it's absolutely whack.4. If you still claim Hip Hop is dead, then you should just go ahead and follow the new trend

I still hear this shit, quit it. I'm sorry, that shit is so played out. If you truly believe Hip Hop is dead, go ahead and hop on the new "it" music. I'm sure you thought reggaeton was gonna pop, then it didn't, and your left a little confused at what bandwagon to hop on. I'll help you out...kill yourself.

5. If you are a homophobe, Then you have probably masturbated while thinking of another man's penis before

homo.

6. If you don't acknowledge Kobe Bryant as the best all around scorer in NBA History, Then you are just a Mike Jordan fan, and not a true fan of the game

It's crazy how people don't want to give dude his props. I think the main reason is because Kobe came when Jordan was still at the top of his game. However, you have to be real. Kobe is a better shooter than MJ. Those same fade aways MJ hit from the box, or free throw line, Kobe hits from the 3 point line. Kobe goes to the rack better than MJ. Kobe even moves better without the ball than MJ. (How many times have you seen MJ catch alley-oops?) I wouldn't say Kobe is a better player overall than MJ, I believe he's on his way, (however, I think Magic is a better player, for the effect he had on his team, and his overall game. Let me see Jordan play center in the Finals!)

7. If you actually voted for George Bush, Then you are clearly an idiot

I can't completely diss Republicans. You never know, maybe one day, someone will rise from the Republican Party who is clearly the truth. Maybe instead of focusing on tax cuts for the rich, he'll focus on getting more paper in more of our pockets and then cutting taxes for the rich. Maybe instead of starting wars over resources that are running out fast, he'll seek answers to problems that are killing off the earth and many of its natural resources. Maybe instead of using religion to blind people into supporting him, he'll bring people of different religions together to help uplift our country. However, that shit didn't happen in the last 8 years fam. I seriously don't see how anybody could have supported dude.

8. If you are still rocking Fubu, Then you aren't really the stylish cat you think you areI'm not a name brand whore. I don't really care about what brand is on my clothes, if it's dope, its dope. However...I can't fuck with FUBU. That shit was huge at one time, remember? I didn't really fuck with that shit then.  Sorry, I love to support my peoples, but something just seemed funny about clothes "For Us By Us" that were extremely expensive. I'm glad that shit faded away faster than two-way pagers.

9. If you are a man and bring a kid into this world and don't raise it up, Then you are a coward and not a man after all

Not too many things I hate more than a dude that doesn't take care of his kids. If hip hop is gonna say "No...anything" it should be "no deadbeat". Although there are a lot of rappers who do take care of their kids, very few of them step up and speak out against dudes who don't take care of their kid cuz "it doesn't look like them"

10. If you say their our no dope rappers out west, then you are either smoking crack (DMX) , some lame New York cat mad cuz your region keeps producing Uncle Murders, or just another sheep that should go back to #4.

I haven't really spoken on west coast music in awhile. I intend on going back to it. It's just crazy how people try and say there's no emcees out here. Truthfully, I think the west coast underground scene is better than any hip hop ANYWHERE.  I think most emcees would agree.

I'll do this shit again, however, I'm getting hella tired, so off to bed I go.
