Brillyance Fucks with Chuck....no homo

     I know it's been awhile, but back I am. I don't know if you guys heard about this, but during all-star weekend Charles made some comments that I figured WOULD have created a stir, but somehow didn't.  So let me hit ya'll with the comments.

BARKLEY: Hey, I live in Arizona. I have got great respect for Senator McCain. Great respect. But I don’t like the way the Republicans are taking this country. Every time I hear the word "conservative," it makes me sick to my stomach, because they’re really just fake Christians, as I call them. That’s all they are. But I just — I’m going to vote Democratic no matter what.

BLITZER: All right. One quick point before I let you go. You used the phrase "fake Christians" for conservatives. Explain what you’re talking about.

BARKLEY: Well, I think they — they want to be judge and jury. Like, I’m for gay marriage. It’s none of my business if gay people want to get married. I’m pro-choice. And I think these Christians — first of all, they’re supposed to be — they’re not supposed to judge other people. But they’re the most hypocritical judge of people we have in this country. And it bugs the hell out of me. They act like their Christians. And they’re not forgiving at all.

BLITZER: So you're going to get a lot of feedback on this one, Charles.

BARKLEY: They can't do anything to me. I don't work for them.

BLITZER: You feel comfortable saying all that?

BARKLEY: I feel very comfortable saying I'm pro-choice, and I'm for gay marriage. Very comfortable.

BLITZER: But you can't lump all these conservatives as being fake. A lot of them obviously -- most of them are very, very sincere in their religious beliefs.

BARKLEY: Well, they should read the part about they're not supposed to judge other people. They forget that one when it doesn't fit what they want it to say.

BLITZER: All right. we have got to leave it there, Charles. Thanks very much for joining us. (Hopefully this all copied over properly)

This all came after Barkley said he was supporting Obama.  I have to admit, I've never really been the biggest fan of Charles Barkley. I wasn't the biggest fan of his game; I wasn't a big fan of him opening his mouth all the time. This time however, I have to say I appreciate it in a major way. Sure, Barkley does contradict himself by judging someone else for judging, but he actually spoke about something that matters. In the era of "Republican's by shoes too," (ala Mike Jordan) I was talking to my one of my younger nieces the other day while watching a documentary about Jimi Hendrix and I asked her;

"When we get older, do you think people will look back at anyone from our time period like they look back at Jimi Hendrix? People look back at people like Jimi Hendrix, Ali, and Bob Marley like gods...who will people look back at from our time?"

She replied Kanye West. Originally I agreed. (Only to later regret that...but that's another blog, stay off my topic!) I'm not saying Barkley is anywhere near a Muhammad Ali, but it's about time an athlete says something about something. Sure that was Tiger Woods home girl, he didn't have to ask for her head for saying someone should lynch him, but he could have spoken out against the word. (Don’t try to compare “Lynch” and “Coon”, one word actually is connected to physically hurting someone, the other one is just…hilarious) He could have said something.

For the record, yea, I also fuck with Charles Barkley's comments because I'm very pro-choice as I've previously stated. I don't believe in abortion as birth control, however in some cases not bringing a child into this world is better than bringing it into this world. (Especially in cases of rape/teen pregnancy). Opposed to what some would like you to believe, being pro-choice doesn't mean you should just have abortions because you feel like it, or because you don't want to buy you kids Air Forces cuz you'd rather buy them for yourself (I've heard this reasoning from someone who's had 5 abortions). It just means you'd like there to be a choice available. Pro-life however, does mean there is no choice, no abortions.

I'm also all for gay marriage, regardless of what the popular hip hop opinion may be. It's also popular in hip hop to wear tight ass pants and your little brother’s shirts....but I'll pass on those trends also. Why support gay getting married? Why Not? Don't hit me with that "What's next, people marrying sheep?" shit, or try to tell me it would increase taxes due to the fact more money would be needed for insurance to help cover some guy’s husband. Both democratic candidates are pushing for some sort of health care for everyone. EVERYONE one, so that means even if the batty boy doesn't get married, he'll be insured. What difference does it make? Is allowing gays to get married gonna influence more people to be gay? Not anymore than MTV's "The Real World" or Bully's "Over the Rainbow" achievement on Xbox 360 unlocked after kissing 20 boys with a boy character. If you believe homosexual marriage would turn the world gay, I guess you also believe violent movies will turn everyone into violent people right? Whatever, grow the fuck up, and stop being sheep. If it doesn't affect you, keep it moving and stop bitching. In several studies done, most homophobes harbor homosexual feelings, so I'm pretty sure at least one of the two gays that hit on me was a homophobe at one time.

I changed my profile pic to one of my favorite album covers of all time, from one of my favorite artists. I figured I'd role with that until I come up with an idea for a new pic. Until next time...bitches.
