I may not always come when I say, but I’m always on time. I’ve been busy getting back on my hustle game with the systems (I had to take a break from that), I’ve also been back to the working world for the past 4 weeks. Yeah, I’m working a 9-5 with the rest of the slaves, but somehow I’ve found time to get back here. I had been talking about reflecting on 2007, and when I hollered at one of my peoples, he started bringing up all the racial issues that happened in ’07. So I figured, before I say what I think is the best album in ’07, maybe I should cover something a little less serious….like racial drama.

1. Imus tha don- This was definitely the most covered issue (for reasons unknown), and probably the catalyst for a lot of the other shit that popped off in 07. Truthfully, I don’t think it was that big of a deal. I think Imus was wrong for getting on those girls like that, as far as race relates to the issue. I don’t think it was that big of a deal, especially compared to some of the other shit Imus has said. The real fucked up thing about this whole issue was how hip hop took the blame. Yea, I believe Imus probably did get the phrase he used from hip hop…where the hell else would he get it from. But oh well, he still has to take responsibility for his mistake. If TI said, “Oh, I only knew about these guns because of Rambo, how else would I know about these type of guns, I’ve from a broke neighborhood where people can’t afford this type of weaponry” Do you think people would attack Hollywood? Fuck no!

Worse than Imus, was Sharpton and his “appease massa” attitude. I know Sharpton has attacked popular black entertainment before, but his attack on hip hop was so hypocritical, especially considering Sharpton frequented popular hip hop mags applauding rappers like Jim Jones a year prior. No, not the hitmaker who brought “Ballin!” to the mainstream, I mean the west coast swagger jacker who rode Eazy E’s Johnson with “Certified Gangsta”. (Actually, I’m sure his latest “opus” wasn’t any more conscious than his prior). All this drama cuz some old ass white man noticed that a bunch of young girls chose not to perm their hair…

2. Holding it dizzle for the Jena Sizzle at the Bet awizzards-Jena Six, Jena Six. Ah man, ya’ll was about to burn the house down if this wrong didn’t get fix. What the hell, oh my god, how in the hell can the legal system fuck over some black kids? Nigga please, this ain’t nothing new. How did this become the big racial injustice of 2007? Black people get ripped off by the legal system left and right, all day every day. Where the hell was Mos Def when those black girls were getting charged with jumping two white girls on Halloween 2005 here in Long Beach? Oh, he didn’t know about that situation did he? The difference between the case with the girls here in Long Beach, and in Jena, is here in Long Beach, the girls actually didn’t jump the white girls, some skateboarders did (Everybody in Long Beach knows it). Does anybody actually know what happened with Mychal Bell? I’ll tell you what happened, he plead GUILTY (cuz that’s what you do when you DO commit a crime) to a reduced charge of battery, and AGREED TO TESTIFY AGAINST THE OTHERS. Oh yea, so while all those people took their time out to fight for these six kids, in the end, one of them chose to fight against the others. In the end, the Jena Six turned into the Jena 5 and a snitch. But wha wha wha wha wait it gets worse! Over half a million was donated to the Jena Six for Legal fees, however, young Po (Mychal Bell) seen none of it. When the others were questioned about what happened with the money, most refused to show what happened with the money. One person did. Robert Bailey, a member of the Jena Six, was seen in a picture on his MySpace page posing with a wad of 100s in his mouth. I definitely took this issue even less serious when two of the Jena Six showed up to the BET awards look like Souljah Boy Tell’em ‘s long lost platoon mates. The people YA’LL support…sheesh.

All though I talk shit about the whole situation, I still have respect for everybody who DID stand up for the whole situation. I just feel it’s a shame that this issue was brought to people, and they chose to do their part, yet in the end, it seems like a big waste of their time.

3. Don’t even mention the Je….-yea, plenty a nigga caught hell last year for bringing up the Jews. Far before my fellow west coast verbal -rapper slapping buddy Meka took the time to type the unbearable “K word”, niggas was catching flak for mentioning the unmentionables. When CBA coach Micheal Ray Richardson was suspending for being accused of calling a disgruntled fan a derogatory word used to describe homosexuals, he said in a press conference “I have big Jew lawyers” he went on to say, and I quote:

“They got a lot of power in this world, you know what I mean? Which I think is great,” Richardson told the Albany Times Union. “I don’t think there’s nothing wrong with it. If you look in most professional sports, they’re run by Jewish people. If you look at a lot of most successful corporations and stuff, more businesses, they’re run by Jewish (people). It’s not a knock, but they are some crafty people.” Needless to say, Michael Ray wasn’t able to get anymore of that low-budget CBA coaching money. Soon after the Imus situation, comedian Ashy Larry lost his spot on a radio show for saying that he’s a “cheap black man….a Jewish black man”.

Lets skip past the Meka Soul situation which came weeks after some white rappers “white nigger” song, and near the end of the year we have the situation with Will Smith. Will said that Hitler “thought he was doing good”, yet mainstream media tried there hardest to twist his words into something they weren’t. Had will said something other than what he said, who knows what would have happened to his career, but then again, maybe he’d get to slide like Mel Gibson did. Where is Mel Gibson? Anywayz, let me change the subject to something safer……

4. Mike Vick is my dog…- How is the Mike Vick situation racial you say? Simple, because you made it so. While I’m sure several actually believe this was bigger than it was simply because they believe it was bigger than it was, and several white people believed this was heinous crime simply because they believed it was a heinous crime, however, most of ya’ll were obviously blinded. I was really put on to the racial undertones of the situation when in discussion with a white person about the situation (the dog fighting ring), I was told “I mean, white people don’t make god running backs…there’s just some things some people just can’t do” I was thrown off, because I didn’t see how that related to the fact he thought Mike Vick should get raped in jail, then he explained how he thought black people just don’t make good quarterbacks. I don’t know, maybe I’m trying to put 2 and 2 together to make 5, but sometimes, certain things seem to add up like 2 and two to make 4. Black people weren’t any better. There acceptance of something that was cruel and unusual simply because, in blogs where I argued that people were being contradictory when saying this was morally wrong yet hunting wasn’t often took the focus off what I was saying, and onto some stupid racial shit. People always want to say that they don’t see race, but that’s impossible, and most people who say that place race first in all situations.

5. Dog is my dog too- Poor unfortunate trailer trash. Why the hell would someone tape a private conversation with Dog the bounty the hunter? Barely anybody watches his show, yet it’s funny how people started paying attention after he dropped the “N Bomb”. The funny thing is, he didn’t know he was being taped, and he still said he wasn’t racists he just uses the word, yet and still, he still caught hell. Just imagine if everything you said would be held under the microscope, I guess that’s the life a celebrity has to live….wait, I’m not talking about a celebrity, I’m talking about dog the bounty hunter. Really man, I think it’s fucked up dude lost his job, I think some porno company should donate the proceeds of an adult video starring a mullet rocking dude banging black chicks to Dog so he can maintain his lavish lifestyle.

6. Hey Look, I’m a model…but I have a brain too…sike- First let me hit ya’ll with the quote from Adrienne Curry, the first winner of America’s next top model..

"This is gonna be hard guys. I LOVE the comedians on BET. I also LOVE the fact that they play my favorite show of all time, In Living Color. However, I do not believe in seperating ANY RACE in America. WE ARE AMERICANS! How dare we have Black History Month! In my eyes, the Native Americans deserve it MUCH more, seeing how we destroyed their ENTIRE SOCIETY. There are hardly any of them left! They also have been proven to have the WORST living conditions on their reservations. I want AN AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH. One where we learn about EVERY race, ALL OF OUR LEADERS, EVERYONE! I think by having a month dedicated to one race, and not one for any other, is RACIST. Every fund set up to only help people of one race is SICK and RACIST

Yes, I get it. Black people were slaves here once. You know what? That does suck some major balls, however, it is time to move the f*** on. Do we hear the Jews crying that they were made slaves for thousands of years? Do we hear them whine that they should OWN the pyramids in Egypt because THEY broke their backs making them? Do we hear them b**** and moan about Hitler, etc? (my hubby is a Jew)Nope, we dont. It’s time for us to UNITE AS ONE. I do not think that singling out one race, giving one race opportunities to go to college (I know a TON of poor white.asian, indian, american indian, etc etc that could use that too!), giving one race the EXCUSE to blame things on others for being whatever nationality they are, is a good way at making sure we NEVER kill racism.I am over this s***.

WE ALL CAME FROM ONE BLACK WOMAN FROM AFRICA, THAT is our EVE! It has been proven by science, and I stand by it. If any other race had a chanel dedicated to just them, we would think it was racist. If any other race demanded a month be set aside for ONLY them, they would be considered racist. I am NOT living by this double standard any longer.Think I am racist? I am not. I know what racism is. I dated a guy named “Justin” in Junior high. Nothing serious, but I really liked him. He was the blackest of black…BEAUTIFUL skin, kinda like Alex Wek’s. He was handsome, and athletic, etc. I was called a nigger lover. But you know what? I was called that by a whole 2 people out of a school with HUNDREDS of students. THAT is why I am NOT buying this racist s*** anymore. Let us teach or children that there is NO DIFFERENCE!

We are all human. I hope one day aliens land and try to kill us. Maybe THEN we would finally realize that WE are ONE.So, I will no longer tune into BET. This is going to suck, but I do NOT like the idea of having a chanel for only 1 race. In the year 2007 in a country that is supposed to be the most advanced and equal. This is unexceptable! I will also no longer acknowledge Black History Month. Instead, I will see it the way that Morgan Freeman does (I have the quote at the bottom of my last blog on Obama/jesseJackson, and OJ). AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH! I will read/watch/and learn about ALL the people who made a difference in this country.I am asking you ALL to join me. Black, White, Indian, Asian, Russian, Australian, etc etc…..lets be AMERICANS together! What happened to the African American community was AMERICAN HISTORY, not BLACK HISTORY. If you want to celebrate in a way that excludes others and singles one race out, count me the f*** out! I am soooo proud to be an American. I am SO proud that I have friends of every race, and none of us see each other as anything but what we are..people. Lets change Black History Month to 2 months of AMERICAN HISTORY. We will still learn about all the black leaders and people who made a difference….just not with the racist name of “Black History Month”. It has to start somewhere. I am going to do my part in making sure we are all treated EQUAL in a country that CLAIMS we are. NO MORE SPECIAL TREATMENT FOR ANYONE WITH ANYTHING!

It will never happen. At least, that is what many of you will say…FINE! My number one priority here is being able to die and know that I stood up for what I believed in, and that I did not add to the SEPERATION OF AMERICANS!! I love my country, I love the people in it. I love our history, good and bad. We should LEARN from it,not dwell in it and not move forward. That’s why I am done with this s***. You are all my brothers and sisters…..even if I think you suck ; ) As Bono said, “One life, with each other..sisters…brothers!”

I hate using so much space for this, as it makes it seem more important, but this shit was just too funny to leave out. Once, while at my sisters house my nieces were watching that garbage ass “America’s Next Top Model”, I seen one episode where Tyra had these girls read from a teleprompter…god these girls are idiots. You’d think Tyra wouldn’t do anything to keep up with the stereotypes models already have to fight, like the one that all models are stupid, but then again, Tyra was and still is a model…and all models are stupid. I don’t even have to comment on this.

7. Nobody cares about Asians, Mexicans, or Arabians-I really wish I had something for ya’ll, but see, the media doesn’t give a fuck about ya’ll being discriminated against and or hated on, so they haven’t forced any outburst of Asian/Mexican/Arabian slurs in my face. Sorry, maybe next year.

8. No, I didn’t call the faggot a faggot- You’d think black people would realize where they rank after MTV’s the real world started having seasons with no blacks, yet two homosexuals, but obviously we haven’t. Isaiah Washington, formerly of “Grey’s Anatomy” lost his job for saying the F word (No, not fuck, that’s all good), not the first time…the second time. The year before last in an argument with some big headed washed up actor, Isaiah said “you can’t just bully me, I’m a man, I’m not a faggot like (insert homosexual actor from garbage show’s name here)” Isaiah caught hella flack. He had to go to homophobe rehab, do public service announcements about homophobia, and apologize to the gay community. Then, last year, when the cast was asked about the incident, Isaiah blurted out “No, I didn’t call (gay dude’s name here) a faggot”. Normally its three strikes you’re out, but this nigga only got two. He apologized again, but all the appeasing in the world couldn’t save his job at this overrated show. Done deal.

What a year! Who knows, maybe, since all that went on last year, we’ll get a black president this year, and he won’t get assassinated. Only time will tell. Until next time, I’ll leave ya’ll with the same words I left with the Jehovah’s Witnesses that came to my sisters house
